Crime Stoppers Antigua Barbuda
Crime Stoppers Antigua Barbuda is a registered non-profit corporation helping law enforcement to locate criminals and help solve crimes. We have an anonymous 24-hour Hotline phone number, 800-8477 (TIPS), that people can call to pass on information about crime; alternatively, people can send us information anonymously via our Anonymous Online Form. You don’t have to give your name or any of your personal details. We do not trace calls or track IP addresses.
As a service to the community, the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda provides Crime Stoppers Antigua Barbuda with a Police programme coordinator, linking information received with the appropriate law enforcement agencies.
Calls made to our confidential telephone number in North America are received at a dedicated Crime Stoppers Call Centre in Canada. This phone network is a stand-alone instrument that does not provide caller ID, and conversations are not recorded. The Crime Stoppers Antigua Barbuda Coordinator receives the information and makes initial enquiries and then passes the information to the investigating officer. Calls are accepted regarding any publicised request by the media or police for information, and in relation to any other crime(s), the caller has knowledge of or may have heard who was involved.
By guaranteeing a caller’s anonymity, Crime Stoppers Antigua Barbuda enables the caller to give information in a positive atmosphere without the prospect of retribution. By offering cash rewards of up to $3,000 for information leading to indictment or arrest, the programme encourages otherwise reluctant callers to provide information.
