As an independent charity, we are not part of the police. When you contact us you won’t be identified. The only person who knows you contacted us with information is you.

Our guarantee of anonymity is vitally important to both you and us. It makes it easier for you to come forward, breaking the silence around criminal activity and removing your fear. Anonymity is what makes our programme work.

We guarantee that:

• You will not be asked to reveal your name or any personal details.
• Your call will not be recorded.
• We have no caller line display and have never traced a call.
• Online reports have the same level of anonymity as phone calls.
• Our specially trained call agents make sure your report contains no information that could identify you.
• We do not make a note of gender, accents, apparent age or ethnicity of any caller.
• Even if you give personal details, they will not be recorded or passed on.

The only way anybody will know you contacted us is if you tell somebody.

We don’t want to know your name so please don’t tell us. However, please tell us as much as you can in the information you submit, even if you think it might not be helpful.

To ensure the confidentiality of all calls to our 800-8477 number, the calls are answered overseas by a specialised call centre in Canada.

• We will ask questions about the crime you have information on but will never ask questions about you.
• Ring when you’ve got time to talk and won’t be disturbed.
• Calls are charged at a local rate from a landline and don’t show up on your APUA phone bill.
• Calls by mobile phone may show up on an itemized bill.

Through Crime Stoppers’ P3 Tips App you can use your iOS or Andriod mobile phone to provide crime-solving information, submit photos of suspects and videos of crimes, and have two-way conversations with Crime Stoppers Antigua Barbuda about the crime, the tip, ALL WHILE REMAINING ANONYMOUS. The P3 Tips App is a secure, anonymous, and efficient means of safely communicating with Crime Stoppers Antigua Barbuda.

The two-way dialog feature of the P3 Tips App allows you to provide additional information, check the status of the investigation, as well as providing the means for Crime Stoppers to ask questions of or provide updates to you all through an encrypted interface that protects your anonymity.

You can still give us information anonymously. When your call is answered, tell the call agent which language you speak and they will connect you to our translation service.

Almost half of all the information we receive is submitted using our Anonymous Online Form. Use our anonymous form to safely and securely pass information about a crime or our list of unsolved crimes.

• The form provides some questions to help you tell us everything you know.
• It gives you plenty of options to give as much detailed information as you can.
• The detailed information you give means a more useful report to the police or
  other law enforcement agencies.
• The information you send is over a secure internet connection which makes
  sure you, and your computer, are anonymous.
• We read what you submit and take out any information that might identify you
  before forwarding it to the relevant authorities.

We don’t advise anyone to use Skype, or other Internet calling services to provide information to us.

• We cannot guarantee your anonymity if you use these services.
• Other users on your computer may be able to find out that you’ve called us.
